Not much to clog the internet with, being lazy and putting off working on Thrash Fortress, playing some Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3's on the waiting shelf, pretty much conquered all the challenges dwarf fortress currently provides in this version, and no online game recommendations from anyone that doesn't require a subscription, oh and uni in a about a week. Didn't take notice of her until I heard this song, OP of white album. If singles and roles are anything to judge by, she's quite a successful singer/VA.

Heard this one on TV, was used as the theme of Tohoku Travel Blog, one of those TVB travel shows, going around Japan, there seems to be a flood of them lately. Then later found who it is by on the Oricon Charts, on youtube as well. Wiki.theppn needs to get back online soon. |:

Heard on Pops in Seoul, hilarious. Especially when viewed with the video. Now if only we get Hey! Hey! Hey! and Music Fighter on TVBJ, that'd save me shitloads of bandwidth. Used to have some sort of music show on the Japanese channel but they axed that. Also, why are the majority of female korean singers SO ANNOYING?

Think I heard this one from kawaii-radio.net, quite good for picking up different music. Anyways, their songs, electronic I guess it'd be, a nice break from what I usually listen to.

So there's 3 cats left in the house now. One's an fully grown gray cat, simply named "Gray", how original. He likes to drink from the fish jar and make weird noises, as well as sit on your legs.

Another gray kitten, named "Candy", you can blame my sister for that. She likes to harass people when they're sleeping and ignore them when they're awake.

She also likes to attack the new kitten in the house, named "Bo", literally translated as "Treasure", however the hell that makes sense. She likes to bite toes and hide in tiny spaces. The rest have been ... "relocated".

Still no job, still sitting at home like a hobo. Picked up the sims and dwarf fortress, but unfortunately for the sims, I figured out how to play dwarf fortress first and never got around to sims. I also have an abundance of cheesecakes but a lack of pies and other edible meats. AND THAT'S TERRIBLE.

Finished watching Kannagi, it's left with an open ending since the manga is nowhere near the end, so it wasn't a very satisfying tone, but the process was great, probably because they used the source material. By A-1 Pictures, a relatively new group with not much under its belt.

Ef: A Tale of MERRI KURISUMASU, ended on quite an excellent tone, probably because it actually had an ending; would recommend you watch the first season before going onto the second though. I used to say that all eroges that turned into anime is bound to be shit, but I'll have to edit that statement now. All eroges that either have no story to begin with or is directed and made in a shit studio is shit. Shaft obviously knows what to do.

Another great piece of work by Shaft, Goku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei; if only they would make a complete third season instead of just three OVAs. Somebody fund it.

Toaru Majutsu no Index is awesome. The new years' break is excruiciating. Few more days until the next episode. There's around one major scene every three episodes, with two for build up, except in the latest biribiri arc but it's alright. Apparently it follows the novel quite tightly so kudos to J.C. Staff; feels a bit like their other work, Shakugan no Shana, first season of course.

Chaos;Head, finished airing already, just getting around to watch it now. Original story is by Nitro+ so it has to be awesome. And so far in, 3 episodes, it's pretty awesome. Madhouse (Death Note, Claymore, Nana etc) worked on this one.

Other finished and recommendable stuff: Kamen no Maid (Madhouse) guy but only for Maid Guy; Kyouran Kazoku Nikki (Nomad; Rozen Maiden and Sola) for the entire series; Hidamari Sketch x 365 (Shaft) and the first season too because Yuno is love; SKY GIRLS DYNAMITE FISHING (J.C. Staff), even though it's a dvd bonus instead of the actual show, but the show's somewhat okay too.

Mid semester break. IT'S JUST A TEASER. Where's the bloody "mid"? It's nearly the freaking end. And before I forget, note to self:

Essay assignment - write shit, do it now.
Frog website assignment - find something to do.
Human Resources assignment - start writing shit already, look up ads et cetera.
Card game assignment - write up report.
Board game assignment - harass people to test it and stuff.

Also, write and make crap. Also, get a job.

Now that that's out of the way. Let us proceed.
RECENT EVENTS. Hmm. Well, there was that birthday of that person. Yes, you know, that one. Wait, now that I think about it, I don't think I even said happy birthday on the day. Well, here you go, I know you'll be reading this shaking your fist angrily at me while sneaking up behind me with a hunting knife preparing to horribly mutilate my body but before you do that, happy birthday!

And, uh, yeah. Went to a charcoal Korean barbecue place thing. I don't know what was so Korean about it. The food was okay, but then, anything that's burnt meat would be okay. The prices were terribly high. It reminded me of that buffet place at Mong Kok that I blogged about quite a few months ago. Except it's not all you can eat thus I was not full at all. Nyoro~n.

Then there was karaoke. I'M SO SICK OF PEOPLE SINGING ABOUT HOW THEY'RE SICK OF LOVE SONGS, AND LOVE SONGS. I was seriously going to fall asleep there, and no don't blame the alcohol, I didn't drink any more after getting there. Though I probably should have. If not for the pleasant screaming of our dear friend in the corner I really might have drifted off. But then again, it's nice to see everyone singing, even if it's just going "oh oh oh oh" It could've been more interesting. Didn't know many songs on the list either, took a while to find that one I sung. Still, would've loved to go with the Death Note theme song, they had most of the Bleach ones, so why the hell not Death Note?

It was nice seeing people again, especially ones that I know, I was starting to go insane being cramped up inside this house. Didn't recognize a couple when I first saw them. Now that I think about it, I could've just used names throughout this blog, but then again, if you know who I am talking about, you'd know, and if you don't, it won't help even if there are names. Unless you want to stalk them. Then feel free to ask me!

Oh and FYI, I had a crap score for my song, *bows et cetera*.

Despite all of the above, I actually quite enjoyed the day, and would go again, if nothing else then for the free alcohol. I'm sure there'd be some, there are certain unnamed people out there trying to convert me into an alcoholic. Just stating here though, it wouldn't work, I'm too cheap to support that lifestyle. I'd probably invest it in games first.

I ate a cheesecake, and liked it. Seriously, I thought it'd suck or something, going by the name and me not liking cold cheese. Proved me completely wrong. In fact, there's still some in the fridge, might just go eat it. Oh, and subs. Subs with chillies and meat and what not, those are great as well. Not sure where my mum got the idea but glad she did. And baking. She gave that a shot with my sister. The cakes turned out surprisingly well. At least, the ones I got to try. Apparently it was the fifth one by the time I got home. Wonder what happened to the ones before that. There's also the meat patties. The ones my dad made went well. And then there were the... others. Which wound up being a soup like substance, followed by egg fillers. Oh well.

I seriously decided to blog just because of that cheesecake.

I like to read the ingredients list on food products. And instructions for use. Counting the amount of tiles on the floor and ceiling is a habit now. Or the textures. Rearranging them to form coherent images. City lights at night is rather enjoyable too. The occasional freakish pedestrian or two.

I guess things are fine this way too. Stagnant. Better than before, in some ways. At least I won't wake up to being stabbed, or whilst stabbing someone else. But is it really okay? It's just too... Boring.

Let's see. I'm still a jobless hobo. Not sure if it's my resume or whatever. Most likely is. Practically no idea what I'm doing in uni either. Two subjects are tied down by groups, one of which's COMPLETELY unreliable. The other's working out, though in an uncertain manner. The other two subjects have not employed a group component yet, though they will later. However, one of them's hosted by a lecturer that can't teach. Excellent. Also, still need to find more reliable colleagues.

On to more boring subjects.

I tried playing Oblivion. Took me a few days before I saw the message telling me I need to sleep to level up. At least I got over/worked around the headaches caused by 3D games. Then the modding. Ugh. I ended up uninstalling it, and probably won't reinstall it until I get a better graphics card/bigger hard drive. Still can't work out how to play the game efficiently, either. Love the game so far though, huge sandbox, lots of subsystems to play around with, quite excellent. Though from reading articles, you would apparently be screwed if you don't level properly, a problem that I didn't have the chance to run into.

Heroes of Might and Magic V. Yeah, sure, 3D graphics. New ways of categorizing magic, and more useful unit stacks. New way to stack up skills, and tie them in more coherently in mini skill trees. Wouldn't say it's revolutionary, but at least it's a more believable environment now. But the thing that really irritates me about it is during the cutscenes, when the characters' mouths DON'T move. And the "queen"'s voice, ugh. I muted it whenever she spoke, reverting to subtitles for the "story". What story? Same old, kill the king, queen rules, whatever. And what the shit is up with a demon trying to save the world? Haven't played past the demon campaign yet, mainly due to facepalming too much.

The OST of Saya no Uta is excellent. Trippy music, contemplating whether it's time to update the music player list here with that. Opinions?

Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsu na Koto: Natsu no Sora, I'm guessing the staff shoved the entire budget into the backgrounds and objects. Since it looks almost real in most cases, quite close to photographs, yet different, giving a 3D feel to it. But the characters are 2D and plain, e.g. Sora, the main character, wears a simple white dress, and a watch. The dress is just white, no patterns or whatever. Hair's normal too. But then, I guess it's meant to be a "normal" world, with magic. Story's quite slow, when I'm not distracted by the backgrounds or the music, I'll occasionally catch a line or two, and wouldn't miss anything. Still, it has potential, 5 episodes done, 7 to go. If nothing else, watch it for the backgrounds and music.

The reason why I don't blog much, it's because there's not much to blog about.

So here, have an analogy. Lack of sleep is somewhat equivalent to been drunk. Except when I drink, I don't get this feeling. Also, this is easier/cheaper to achieve. Basically, you can't really keep track of what you're doing, even more so than usual. The world seems at peace while your head hurts like hell. And, in my case, it's much easier to discuss philosophical questions. Or rant and pretend I do while others believe I do.

Assignment time. Handed in one POV essay. Got... about 12 more assessments. How nauseating.

I swear I'll get to writing one of these days, but for now I'll make up extensive excuses as to why I can't. It's the job of a procrastinator to spend more time discussing how they're procrastinating from any specific task than the total amount of time necessary to complete the task. If they're artistically inclined, they'd also draw pretty pictures to accompany it, but I fail at art so your eyes can rest in ease.

Despite been supposedly antisocial, I find myself craving social interaction at the moment. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME? And no, it's not just due to lack of sleep, it has been going on for a while now. It's rather disturbing, really.

Is anyone able to provide the name of an alcoholic beverage that does not taste like urine? Or smell of it. Preferably neither of both. I'd greatly appreciate this data. But then I'd still be freeloading said beverage if I were to drink it, as I'm still cheap.

Which brings us to another point. I have no idea how to fill in my portfolio. My resume looks kind of crap without one. Scratch that. It IS crap. But that may or may not be the only reason I'm not even getting interviews for jobs, I don't know. What I DO know is that I need to get one, as tickets for another flight have already been booked. So now I'm aiming to pay for TWO tickets by the end of the year. If anyone knows how to make my resume look nicer, please, do tell, I'd appreciate it ever so much, possibly enough to the point of stalking you when I get the job and money to do so; for the purpose of ... greetings. Yes, that shall do.

Fairyland is now free to play, again. At least, the Lager version is. If any one feels like revisiting that game, drop me a recommendation by my email, so I can profit from your suffering directly! It's totally worthwhile.

Let's go with some recommended viewing. Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Nodame Cantabile are a couple that comes to mind without revision. Suicidal teachers or ground bound conductors. Have at ye, pick one, or both if you have enough time.

Now on a totally unrelated note. I'm somewhat doubting my path in life. Well, more like, LOL, I HAD A PATH? I'm simply doing what I have to to get by, instead of striving for something more. Is this normal, or am I really lost? I had expected to do something greater once I achieved my goal of attending this somewhat superior university. But now it seems like I'm repeating the same old as per the other one.

It annoys me to not know what I'm trying to do. It's not like the opportunities haven't been presented to me, time and again. They often sound like what I want, but when I receive said offers, they often sound ... deviated; returning my motivation levels to their usual low. Perhaps I'm just ranting about nothing here, and this may simply be another phase. But I'd rather not fall into the trap of classifying imminent death as a phase, again.

As a further note, I shall strive to maintain relations. Despite whatever incoherent means may be used, indeliberately or otherwise, against my advances. I do not find it necessary to further decrease the amount of worldly icons anchoring my sanity, regardless of how far you may deviate from your former selves.

I reckon I should get some sleep before I say something I don't mean.

A little bit of everything I remember~

But before that. NOTE TO SELF: STOP USING DRAMATIC TITLES. YOU'LL RUN OUT OF THEM SOONER THAN YOU THINK.

Let's go with the most distant. Hong Kong, wonderful place, as long as you had the money. Horrible without. Featured a new weather effect that I hadn't experienced before in life: Fog. Fog is a WONDERFUL thing. At maximum power, it reduces visibility to ZERO. You could walk into a wall and still not see it. Truly wonderful. Wouldn't recommend walking into traffic, but then you wouldn't know it's coming. Have yet to experience other special weather effects, feel free to introduce them to me, if they're not of the life threatening type.

Flower festivals are surprisingly fun too, when you're NOT going with family. There are many things to see, many people to harass, and so on and so on. I particularly enjoyed their sales pitches. A group of teenagers screaming their lungs out just to sell some lotuses. Which have not even bloomed. Making vague promises of love and encounters of the similar kind. Giant novelty hammers and various other balloons were also sold, for those who simply are not there for flowers. A flower that I particularly liked was blue, would've taken some pictures if my hands weren't filled with various other things to carry, for I am but a menial mule slave to my elders in said situation.

Ice skating actually looks kind of okay. I would've tried it if we didn't have to leave the Tai Koo place in a hurry. Maybe it's due to the fact that I get to have blades and run around with them. That idea always intrigued me. I may have to try ice skating one day.

As a side effect of living in Hong Kong for 3 months, my tastes in food have been horribly warped. I can now actually tell the difference in whether something tastes shit or not. The only way it may be covered is with ample amounts of sauce. This new found taste is, however, detrimental to my eating capabilities, as I now have difficulty in readapting to the way food is prepared by the supposed Asian chefs in Australia. Acquired tastes are an annoying thing, really.

Another side effect. I had gotten used to seeing short people. People in Hong Kong were actually shorter than me. It was rather shocking. Now I've to readjust to looking on level, or up, again when looking at people. Perhaps I should wear stilts constantly.

Third one. More of an observation. Girls in Hong Kong tend to be flat/flatter/barely noticeable. It was quite strange at first, as it would be quite difficult to tell the genders of SOME of them. Good thing that uniforms are compulsory, and most uniforms over there require skirts. That and the majority of my time there, they had to go to school. It really helps to know the gender of a person, it avoids unnecessary stabbing in dark alleys.

My family tree is quite narrow. Having parents and grandparents that are an only child suck. Most of my aunts on my mum's side don't have children either. So as far as I know, I only have one cousin. None of those huge family reunion gatherings for me. At least, not with any around my age. There are, however, many non-blood related cousins, aunts and uncles and such. The ones I've visited are quite loud and extroverted. The atmosphere felt quite nice, though I was older than most of them and couldn't hold a conversation with them.

On that note, I didn't even get to see my supposed friends from over ten years ago, despite my extremely long stay. Nor did I make any new friends. Guess that's what I get for NOT SPEAKING THEIR LANGUAGE. Bleh. So much for my grandparents' expectations of me magically finding a girl and bringing her home to meet them within that period of time, I'm sure they're so disappointed at me for failing that!

I think the thing I'll miss the most about Hong Kong is that... There's technology everywhere. FREE UNLIMITED FAST wireless internet everywhere. HUGE TV's everywhere. And cheap, delicious food. Not listed in any particular order. Where else in the world can I get that?

New uni's much flatter than the last one. No more freaking mountain climbing just to get somewhere. That and hundreds of thousands of computers. That and the people are easier to relate to, surprisingly enough. I'd say that I don't miss anything of the old uni, but then that wouldn't be true. I do so happen to miss my favourite person there, things don't seem as fun without her. Doubt there could be a replacement, so I'll simply have to abuse the uni's wireless and go online. If you're reading this, transfer over here damn it. D=< It'll be more fun.

LET US TRAVEL BACK IN TIME AND FULFILL PROMISES THAT WE NEVER EXPECTED ME TO KEEP. For my personal safety and utter disregard for any of the unmentioned people in the following riddle/word relation diagram/collection of messes, the names of the participants will not be listed. Please note that nothing is really listed chronological order, unless they're referencing the same character, otherwise it's all in a mess, at least, during the later parts.

Let us go with the story of Mr. B. Mr. B was attracted to Ms. A. No surprise there. Ms. A however, is attracted to Mr. C and D. Yes, both of them. However, Mr. C is not really interested, and is busy handling various other people, one of whom included Ms. E who in turn is handling Mr. F. Mr. D would've returned said feelings if not for supposed interactions between Ms. A and Mr. C. Mr. C, in actuality, doesn't want to be seen dealing with any of the Misses, but would rather be with Ms.G. Mr. B is unaware of the dealings between Ms. A and Mr. C, and only between the relation between Ms. A and Mr. D. A new (read: old) challenger appears, Ms. H is also attracted to Mr. I as well as Mr. C. Ain't he popular? Except he's not interested in her either. And neither is Mr. I. Mr. D is dejected by the relation between Ms. A and Mr. C and thus leaves the game, all the while Mr. C was never interested in Ms. A to begin with, but was dragged in by name. Mr. B however, is simply saddened by Ms. A's rejection while all this is going on. Mr. J was mutually attracted to Ms. K, while still being attracted to various others, one of whom included Ms. U. Mr. L and Ms. M's mutual attraction continue undisturbed, unaware of any previous arrangements set in motion by one of the former suspects which would be too risky to list publicly. Mr. N, at this stage, was attracted to Ms. U, who was in turn attracted to him and Mr. J. Mr. O was still rather emo over Ms. K's decision regarding Mr. J. At the same time he collaborated with Mr. C on how to deal with all the other emos. Ms. P stopped Mr. O going insane. Ms. E eventually succumbed to the combined attacks of Mr. C and Mr. O, falling to the dark side and joining Mr. F. They lived happily until the end of the year, then imploded. Ms. A was left without anyone, as Mr. C escaped her grasp, while Mr. D has permanently left the field. Mr. B was still rather upset, but that would eventually be lifted, eventually. The story between Mr. C and Ms. G has been left untold, or rather, lacks updates. Ms. K eventually realized what Mr. J was, and ditched him. Mr. O was overjoyed for no apparent reason. Mr. I managed to evade all attacks on all ports, to this day his status is unknown, but it is believed he is well on his way to obtaining one piece. Ms. K eventually discovered Mr. N, but was hesitant due to Mr. O. However, he gave them the Pedobear Seal of Approval and all was well. Mr. J is believed to have ran off with one of the Misses or some shit, but still looks for opportunities to attack Ms. K. Mr. L and Ms. M continues doing their own thing. Mr. O finally made a move on Ms. P, and their status is financially pending. Mr. B, who finally got around to eventually, found Ms. Q, and after a short duel with Mr. R, defeated him with a trap card, gaining the right to happiness with Ms. Q. Ms. E obtained a Mr. S rather quickly after the parting with Mr. F, to fill the gap. Their relation is questionable. Ms. H, rather surprisingly, found a Mr. T, and is now proceeding to rape him.

Now, the question: Which one has the fish?

So THAT'S where they moved the damn blogging button to. HOW THE HELL WAS I MEANT TO KNOW IT'S IN SOME INCONSPICUOUS CORNER?!

So yeah, I'd post something, but now I'm hungry, have to go vote in about twenty minutes, and got lots of delayed homework. Also my toasted tuna sandwich is COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD. Like, really cold. It's like it came out of the freezer kind of cold. I think I've bitten into some ice. Maybe I should microwave it.

I'll probably post another when I get back. Just because I can.
